  • First Mitsubish Electric office opened in London.

1978

  • Mitsubishi Electric opens a sales, distribution and service centre in Watford, Herts.

1988

  • Sales and distribution moves to the current HQ in Hatfield, Herts.

1994

  • Air Conditioning production started in Livingston, Scotland.

1996

  • Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V. established as a branch in the UK.

2006

  • The Headquarters office at Hatfield was refurbished and upgraded with full conference facilities.

2009

  • Photovoltaic (PV) arrays added to the Hatfield site increasing Mitsubishi Electric's green credentials.
